THINKING ABOUT REHOMING YOUR DOG?
We understand that rehoming your pet can be very tough, and we respect your choice to make the responsible decision for your dog and current circumstances. Our goal is to minimize the number of dogs surrendered to local shelters and assist in finding your dog a home where they are safe and comfortable.
If you are 100% sure you need to surrender your dog please fill out our application here
Depending on your situation, here are Some important things to consider before surrendering your dog:
-Have you considered getting help from a professional dog trainer for behavioral problems?
-do you have any friends or family that are able to lend a hand when you need some extra help with the dog?
-Is your dog getting enough exercise?
-Have you considered a dog walker or doggy daycare to get some energy out when you are too busy?
-Should you consult your veterinarian for a possible underlying medical condition causing the problem?
-have you done research on the specific breed of your dog to know common behaviors?
-Are you able to move somewhere dog friendly?
-is the problem temporary?

HOW DOES IT WORK?
PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT WE CANNOT TAKE AGGRESSIVE DOGS AND ALL DOGS NEED TO BE UP TO DATE ON VACCINATIONS AND HEART WORM PREVENTION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR REHOMING PROCESS
After considering all options to make it work with your pet and you are sure surrendering is the right decision, please fill out an application for Rehoming.

Our surrender program works on a case-by-case basis and foster home availability. If you are able to keep your dog until we find a new home for them that is very helpful. Once we have the necessary information about your dog and photos, we will work to help find them a new home.

To ensure the safety and well-being of surrender dogs, we conduct a comprehensive background check, verify proof of home ownership or landlord approval of dog, and veterinary best practice history on all potential adopters. Our top priority is to ensure that each adoption is a perfect match for both the dog and their new family.

You do not need to pay to surrender your dog, but we require the new adopter to pay for an adoption fee that goes towards costs and time related to application processing.
