ABOUT US
Welcome to Mutt Life Rescue
Mutt Life Rescue is a family-owned dog rescue based in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Our love for animals has been lifelong—shaped by years of raising livestock and horses, participating in 4-H, and fostering dogs through other rescues for nearly a decade. In October 2024, we took the leap and founded Mutt Life to do even more for dogs in need.

Since our launch, we’ve helped over 200 dogs find their second chance at life through adoption, care, and compassion—all by April 2025.

We take in local owner-surrendered dogs from across Wisconsin, helping families who can no longer care for their pets find them a safe and loving alternative. In addition, we partner with several high-intake, kill shelters in the South, giving at-risk dogs a lifeline to a better future. Our rescue works closely with:
-
Habersham County Animal Control (Georgia)
-
Rabun Paws 4 Life (Georgia)
-
The Arkansas Pet Savers (Arkansas)
-
Dog Is My CoPilot and Petco Love, in partnership with Fort Bend County Animal Services (Texas)

These partnerships allow us to save dogs that would otherwise have limited options, and bring them to Wisconsin where they can find forever homes.

What began as a small effort has grown into a vibrant rescue community, supported by a growing network of fosters, volunteers, and local supporters. We’re proud members of the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce, and we believe in giving back to the community that supports us—through adoption events, outreach programs, and education about responsible pet ownership.

At Mutt Life, our mission is simple:
To rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need—locally and beyond—matching them with families who will love and care for them.

Join us in making a difference—one rescue, one family, one wagging tail at a time.
