NEXT TRANSPORT: SEPTEMBER 6th, 2025

We’re excited to announce our next official transport on September 6, 2025, in partnership with our incredible Georgia rescue partners at Habersham County Animal Shelter and Rabun Paws 4 Life. In the meantime, we’ll be sharing dogs currently available at these shelters to help create space and prevent euthanasia. If you're looking to adopt a dog in July or August, let us know—we may be able to arrange early transport ahead of the official date as adoption applications come in. Stay tuned to see the amazing dogs who need homes!

Dogs find their forever families!

Mutt Life Dog Rescue

Since launching our mission in October 2024, Mutt Life has helped countless dogs and families find their perfect match—while also reducing the number of dogs in kill shelters and lowering euthanasia rates.

Kennedy’s Story:

Kennedy came to us from a high-risk kill shelter in Georgia on 6/21/25, but just hours after his arrival, he slipped out of his harness at his foster home and went missing. Over the next week, he was spotted throughout Sheboygan—too frightened to let anyone get close enough to help.

Tragically, Kennedy was hit by a car on I-43 on 6/27/25 and suffered a fractured pelvis. He has been in critical condition but is stable and receiving round-the-clock care with pain management and cage rest.

We are working with an orthopedic veterinarian and  UW–Madison Orthopedics  to ensure Kennedy receives the best possible care. After a thorough consultation, a plan has been made to continue with strict cage rest and close monitoring, giving his body time to heal without the need for immediate surgery.

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support Kennedy has received. To everyone who has donated toward his medical care—thank you. Your generosity is making a real difference in his recovery journey and bringing him closer to the safe, loving future he deserves.

Please continue to keep Kennedy in your thoughts as he heals.
